Robert Murtagh qualified as a solicitor in 1988 before establishing his own practice in 1993 and draws upon almost 30 years of experience when advising and acting for a broad range of clients.

Originally specialising in criminal defence law, Robert has acted in a number of high profile cases, including R v. Haddock & Others (2012), the largest criminal trial in this jurisdiction in 25 years, R v. McCrory and others (2005) and R v. O’Hagan (2004)

Robert is accredited by the Law Society of Northern Ireland as an Advanced Advocate which enables him to represent clients in High Court matters.

With extensive experience in serious personal injury cases, Robert now deals with all aspects of litigation for both plaintiffs and defendants specialising in compensation claims, road traffic accidents and credit hire.

Notably Robert has settled compensation cases valued at £3 million and will ensure that your claim for damages is handled in a professional and sensitive manner.

Tracy is one of the Practice Directors and Business Consultant. Provides effective support to all staff and oversees the day-to-day running of the firm including human resources and financial accounting.

Under Tracy’s management, the firm has expanded significantly, both in size and with regards to our areas of practice.

Having successfully completed a BSc (Hons) Counselling and Psychotherapy at Queens University Belfast, Tracy is a trained Counsellor and also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management.

Tracy places particular emphasis on client care and advocates a tailored and focussed approach in the firm’s dealings with both individual and business clients.

Specialising in Magistrates Court and Crown Court defence work along with Police station attendances. Padraig qualified and trained in England where he was a credited Police Station Solicitor and therefore has great experience in all aspects of arrests and Magistrates Court and Bail appearances. Padraig worked in Newcastle upon Tyne and East London so has accrued extensive experience representing clients from diverse backgrounds. He is also the first port of call for clients seeking advice regarding Road traffic violations.

Padraig successfully completed the Law Society of Northern Ireland’s Advanced Advocacy course and is qualified to represent clients in High Court matters. He is also a Police Station Accredited Representative and Qualified Duty Solicitor in England & Wales



Sean trained as a solicitor with a large Manchester law firm specialising in personal injury litigation. He is dual-qualified to practice in Northern Ireland and England & Wales.

Having accrued 10 years of legal experience in personal injury litigation, banking, commercial and insolvency/bankruptcy matters, Sean has been involved in several complex brain injury and paralysis cases obtaining compensation in excess of £1 million for his clients

Sean works in our busy litigation department specialising in personal injury matters. He provides advice to clients who have been injured as a result of an accident at work, on the road or in a public place. Sean has extensive experience in complex catastrophic injury claims involving paralysis, loss of limbs, brain and spinal injuries. Prior to joining RRM Law, he had also practised in banking, commercial and insolvency/bankruptcy matters.
